💡 Best Practices for UTMs

  • utm_source defines where the link is posted (e.g., google, newsletter), utm_medium defines the category of traffic (e.g., cpc, email, sns), and utm_campaign is the general launch theme (e.g., spring_sale). Keeping these organized keeps Google Analytics cleanly categorized.
  • UTM parameters are case-sensitive. It is highly recommended to always use lowercase letters for consistency.
